I received a copy of your message requesting donations to the China earthquake victims. While we are very aware this has been a terrible event for China, we are unable at this time to comply with your request. We have just sent 1,000 units at deeply discounted prices to provide safe drinking water to the millions of victims of Cyclone Nargis in Burma via the relief agencies that have been set up on the Thailand border to help hungry, thirsty and displaced refugees.
We certainly recognize that yours is a good cause, but SteriPEN is a small company that is still struggling to survive and thrive commercially and we simply cannot afford to reach out and donate or sell our products at deeply discounted prices to every good cause worldwide.
Although I know that many Chinese people boil their water every day as a matter of everyday life, I would suggest that you contact one of our competitors such as Katadyn of Switzerland or Mountain Safety Research of the USA. They may be in a better position to donate or sell you water purification products on a large scale.
Currently SteriPEN products are not available in China. Should they become available in the future, I will certainly inform you.
