What is so wrong being a housewife? a housewife with high education and the former career track? Actually you shall be proud of being a full time domestic professional taking care of your husband and kids, and you take easy on youself. All my friends' wives are homemakers and they are happy with that. Their kids are right now attending Oxford, Harvard, Yale, MIT,... you name it. You know why? because they all have wonderful homemakers and the wonderful mothers and they are there at home whenever kids need them. (including home schooling for sure). I also have one friend whose wife is 事业型的，tell you what, their family life is so..... misplaced or out of place. 不多说了。As long as you don't have financial pressure that you have to be on someone's payroll, being a high quality homemaker is another way of being your own boss, no being your family boss. Among the business people there is a saying, if mom is not happy, no one will be happy.
I remember bunch of Harvard MBA female graduates 99% were out of the job market and had chosen to be full time moms and wives because they had all married the high net-worth husbands, no one exception. Mr. Green

I remember 野猫 a few days ago asked what was 素质？素质就是家庭教养，无所不在的，潜移默化的，in English it is called Upbrings. mom is the key for kids' decent upbrings. Cool

If you feel boring at home all the time, make friends, help the poor, do some charity work, or start a consulting job at home, or even worse, manage your family financials or trade on stock markets...... There is a long long to-do list for stay-at-home wives.
