factual or common sense mistakes, we need to question the validity of the whole article. I have seen too many Chinese bio articles with obvious exxaggeration (like get married in Notre Dame Church in Paris).

I am not saying that his mom was not a portuguese. But after google Gu's info in English, I find more objective assessment online.

BTW, Malay was the frontier for colonists from Europe. It was relatively easy to have a cross-ethnic marriage. Just like in US, nobody will be surprised to be at interethnic marriage, because they all are the outcome of such a mixture, esp., among white people.

Actually, in France, true-french blood frenchmen are no more than 1/6 now. The southwestern region was heavily intermarried with Spaniards/Basques. And there are actually many Italians in France too.

Nothing personal, just a quick note. I might be too serious and not sensitive.
