decided to cashed out the majority of their company. They will not have the final say; the VC will call the shots, no matter you like it or not. From VC point of view, they want to recoup their investment ASAP plus a fat ROI. They are the professionals, hard and cold, having no personal feeling attached to the product lines, the personnals, the location, the history of the company. It either works or not works. If it is not working, necessary changes have to be made. No hard feeling! My way or highway. Sad

As long as your friend is still a shareholder, maybe an IPO or M/A will put more money into his pocket. Look at Steve Job and Jerry Yang.... Wink

If eventually your friend loses his job, maybe he can 睡觉睡到自然醒，数钱数到手抽筋. Mr. Green
