You will work for XYZ Transmission & Distribtion and that is my major. I had 33 yrs of experience in my major, but you do not seem to know much about this major.
Not only I can help u technically, more importantly, I can help you with connections to Chongqing power industry.
We have people at our English corners from CQ power bureau. More significantly, my sister-in-law is a senior officer of CQ Power Bureau and she has been with CQ Power Bureau for more than 30 yrs!!!
There is a great new book "外企局内人" talking about wai qi sales. It is a fiction-style textbook. I read it thru. It talks about salesmen and sales technical support helps salesmen to make sales. Salesmen have their quota and they are under the pressure, but if they can make it, the reward will be very handsome.
It is not clear to me whether the tech support person will be under the same pressure/reward, but it is very clear the office support people [finance, legal, contract administration, etc.] are not under the pressure/reward.
I guess the guy from Tongji is also an engineering major. Therefore, you two are probably both sales and tech support, i.e. u technically support yourselves with office support from Chengdu.
Relax. If u cannot make it, there would be always some trash school for you to teach, but the trash school would not be as trashy as the two u have now because u would come from Siemens!
For how much I know you, u are competent, good at English and female. The other guy may be as competent, but he is probably poor at English and male. For these reasons, you would be a better one and you would have better chance to get promoted to Chengdu, if not Beijing.
Also, we have AAA from our English corners working in XYZ Chongqing and now Shanghai since 2002, and BBB used to work at XYZ Chongqing. All these people will be willing to help you because I helped them a lot and u have something they do not have: engineering background.
