夜，黑凄凄，窗外，竟然又下起了雨！
去查天气预报，又是零上好几度，接下来的日子还是零上零上甚至到10度！而前些年的这个时候已经是白雪皑皑，零下10几度都有可能了。白色圣诞是奢望，白色新年已经证明不可能，不知道接下去到什么时候会再有雪。给小猪准备好了的滑雪板，仍在那里安静地躺着。
上网查查新闻，说这是欧洲有记载以来最温暖的冬天之一了，阿尔卑斯山上还记录到了1300年来同期最高气温。很多地方是500年来最温暖的冬天。莫斯科，这么内陆的地方，当年纳粹在这里被严寒击溃的地方，没有雪，水也没有结冰。波罗的海的破冰船安静地停在港湾，无用武之地。北欧的熊无法冬眠，四处活动。更别说西欧南欧了。这不能不让人想起电影“The day after tomorrow"里面的情景，虽然也知道那是科幻，那是夸张，但这样反常的季节反常的自然总是让人心神不宁。值得庆幸，可以免受严寒？还是恐惧，危机在一步步降临？也许这都是杞人忧天吧。
全球变暖影响也好，厄尔尼诺影响也好，我只期望老天仍然能留给我们一个分明的四季。

European winter—one of the warmest on record

Only about 30 per cent of the seasonal average of snow has fallen so far this winter in the Alps as the unusually warm temperatures continue.
MeteoSwiss say that readings in November and early December were some 10ºC above the norm. Austria's Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics announced last week that Alpine temperatures were their highest in 1 300 years. Central England has recorded its warmest autumn on record and the Met Office, UK, has predicted higher-than-average temperatures for the rest of the winter.
Many ski resorts throughout Europe have postponed opening their slopes due to the lack of snow while an early blossoming of fruit tress in some regions has farmers worried that their potential produce will be affected by frost.

The year 2007 to be warmest on record?

The Met Office, UK, has forecast that the year 2007 is likely to be the warmest on record. An extended warming period, resulting from an El Niño event, is likely to increase global temperatures. The global surface temperature is projected to be 0.54°C above the long-term average of 14°C, beating the current record of 0.52°C, which was set in 1998.
The forecasters also revealed that in 2006 the United Kingdom had its the highest average temperature since records began in 1914.
The annual projection was compiled by the Met Office, UK’s Hadley Centre, in conjunction with the University of East Anglia.
