1. A US company w/o any product or US R&D, what kind of market or customer it looks to acquire in China.
The company provides mainly IT consulting services in the US. It has US R&D, but mainly does application development for clients. For Chinese markets, it plans to develop its own products, starting with RFID software. I don't have full knowledge of their plan yet, but yeah, i see your point, it's far from solid from my perspective. Will find out more...
2. Where the company's revenue comes from outside of China ?
Its India offshore DC is mainly doing ITO & BPO outsourcing projects. It's US base provides on-site support and maintenance while providing IT services/solutions as well.
3. Who are the competitors ?
Not sure...will find out duringthe interview. I guess many... 
4. What does the Director of China Operations do, what does he expect the country manager do ?
Will find out during the interview.
If the job for the country manager is to open the china market for this company, e.g. P/L responsibility or sales target, based on my experence, it is a bit wired they look for a country manager overseas, not in China. Unless you are next of kin of someone higher up in China who can have rain making capabilites. |
