Support Manager

Responsibility:

 The Application Support Manager will provides technical support and advice to our clients, deliver and support different types of software programs, including troubleshooting apps and software, post support of all applications as they are handed off from the development team, ongoing post development work/support, and on-call assistance. This includes responding to client questions, managing and troubleshooting issues to ensure successful application usage.

 You will be responsible for application monitoring and up-time, teaming with the team on installs/upgrades/configs, application trouble-shooting and break/bug fix, capacity planning, interaction with the business units post implementation, budgeting, and on-call support.

 The Applications Manager’s role is to supervise and maintain the organization’s repository of software applications through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. You are responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of applications and systems necessary for business operations. You will need to apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the group on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.

Qualification:

 To land this position, you’ll need 7-12 years of solid experience, with at least 5+ years managing an application support organization.
 General knowledge of database-intensive, large-scale distributed applications and related technologies including: Oracle, SQL, Java (Server-Side), .Net, Ruby on Rails, C/C++, HTML, XML, Perl, Unix, and Windows.
 Analytical/troubleshooting skills in areas: data and database, web applications, networks, and basic Internet technologies including security protocols, file transfer, DNS, and SMTP
 Ability to thrive in a multitasking environment with frequent interruptions
 Ability to factor in business needs, including client impact and urgency during case prioritization
 Ability to prioritize, and drive projects to completion and within budget. Come with super project and time management skills, and be extremely detail-oriented, flexible in a variety of situations, a solid team-player, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
