The Search Technology Center (STC) is located in Beijing, China and is working in partnership with Live Search and Microsoft Research Asia to deliver innovative Internet Search products and services to the Chinese, Asian and global Internet markets.

Roles & Responsibilities:
As the Program Manager, you will own a specific feature area of Multi-Media search, working with Marketing to define feature requirements/priorities, working with Development & Test on designing the features and interfacing with customers to ensure usability. You must feel comfortable operating within a fast moving research & development team. You should have great core program management skills - strong customer empathy, attention to detail, proven track record of working with dev/test/research in a product group, great design skills, and excellent written and oral communication. This position requires the ability to influence feature teams through written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. The ability to handle multiple concurrent releases and demonstrated experience driving for results in a cross-group/team project is a must.
Required Qualifications:
You should possess a strong technical background and an extremely good grasp of software engineering principles, exceptional problem solving and design skills, and a minimum of 3 years experience in delivering software solutions in a project management, program manager or business analyst capacity. You should be self-motivated and self-directed and able to lead and motivate. A demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain is presumed. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are very important. Knowledge and experience in video, video processing, or image, image processing, codec, and other multi-media related fields are a must. Chinese language skills are a strong plus. This position is located in Beijing, China.
