"贝尔斯登正在与中信集团恰商向后者出售股份事宜" If this is true and if I were 中信集团 boss, I would make an offer to buy the whole Bear Stearns company with a market cap of only $13 billions!! I wish 中信 has the vision! Sorry to say, in this market, someone's loss could be other people's gain.
On a personal level IMHO this is an excellent time to grab some first-class stocks at relatively decent prices. Of course the market is far from being stable which exactly means more opportunities.
