Skill Set Required
· Knowledge and demonstrated practical experience of how network protocols such as TCP/IP work, NLB clustering, Server installation and configuration, Terminal server installation and configuration types.
· Transact SQL skills preferably with SQL Server 2000/2005.
· Detailed networking and internet / intranet knowledge - must have demonstrated detailed practical experience working with Active Directory, IIS Servers, Firewalls, routers (preferred but not essential), proxy servers, hubs etc.
· Knowledge of Visual Basic, ASP and COM+. Programming/scripting experience essential.
· Solid written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese and must be able to communicate technical and business issues to technical and non-technical audiences
· The experience working within business support systems environment is preferred
· Strong analysis and customer service skills.
· Sound problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
· Monitor system environment and behavior working as a team member in the support of critical world-wide systems in a production environment.
· Ensure each reported problem is resolved in a timely manner (per Service Level Agreement), tracked according to standards and escalated as appropriate.
· Work independently within established procedures and process. Following existing policies is essential
· Take specific or shared technical support ownership for one or more production systems of high complexity.
· Communicate problem resolution and additional information to customer groups, project team and IT support groups.
· Execute procedures (e.g. batch jobs, automation scripts, data cleanup scripts etc.) to accomplish short-term business goals.
· Track and prioritize bugs and feature requests reported by application users and support team.
Work with other members of the project team, IT support groups and customer groups
