Job title: Business Consultant Sr.

Job Description:
- Assist in defining and documenting the architecture of the solution under development. Produce deliverables that meet the engagement schedule and budget and satisfy client requirements.
- Develop documentation that meets relevant quality standards, is technically accurate, and fulfills engagement objectives.
- Provide feedback/enhancement requests to product development about products/tools used during engagements.
- Identify engagement issues and recommend appropriate solutions to management.
- Provide onsite customer mentoring and support of one or more products.
- Assist team in determining client requirements and in scoping and estimating efforts.
- Execute the project work plan and inform manager when revisions are necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
Qualifications/Necessary Skills:
- Ability to develop distributed applications for full lifecycle projects.
- Working knowledge of distributed object models (OMG CORBA, Java/RMI).
- In-depth knowledge of J2EE platform specifications.
- Working knowledge of UML and architecture modeling tools.
- Working knowledge of system connectivity, scalability, clustering, and high availability.
- Working knowledge of distributed operating systems (i.e., UNIX, NT).
- Working knowledge of transaction processing.
- In-depth knowledge of object-oriented Analysis and Design.
- In-depth knowledge of software development languages, including C, C++, and java.
- Working knowledge of xml.
- Familiarity with iterative and incremental development process.
- Familiarity with architecture risk assessment and mitigation.
- Working knowledge of databases and data manipulation languages, such as SQL.
Education:
B.S. degree, preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering, or mathematics.
Advanced degree in computer science or related field is not mandatory, but is considered a plus.
