I first posted it on jiaoyou8. Now I read another piece about prosititution, I felt the needs of sharing... I had so much fun debating and arguing! hope u enjoy it as well...
This is one of the never ending topics for debating, I guess. Eventually, I do believe prostitution will become legal. First there is the demand and supply theory. If the demand exists, there better be supply. Touch wood-- the demand never dies!
Monogamy is equivalent to a long term contract for prostitution-- a contract that binds for single source supply of sex. A woman sells herself to a man for life. Both parties evaluate facts like age, appearance, wealth and sometimes education, and create a deal. Whoever pays the highest bid—the promise of spending the rest of his life with her gets to marry her. The bid depends on the man himself, and what kind of life style he can provide. Of course, nowadays, it words the opposite way as well. This is valid until a divorce – another contract that releases the 2 parties from the single source supply of sex.
If the single source supply is legal and considered ethical by the society, why couldn’t prostitution be accepted? If a man holding a diamond ring and ask for sex, it is considered romantic. But someone who just wants a one time deal is a criminal? Or it’s allowed for wholesaling, but not for retailing? Give me a break!
And now all the comments:

Not many can take my sense of humor, I guess. It is a big stone in the quite pond just like I imagined. I have to say the statements are shallow. But it is meant to be like that. Don't think too deep about it. Of course the arguement won't stand!!!
I, myself is a huge believer of love and romance. But lighten up, just think it as a joke from a standup comedian. You listen, you laugh, you go home and forget about it. I am not trying to educate people here. God forbid, there are so many Dr.s and Profs. here in this website. Who the hell am I to tell people what to do?
It is supposed to be a joke, a sarcastic one. so...again, lighten up!

There is a reason why no standup comedy in China. Americans (or Canadians) just want a good laugh and forget about it, on the other side we Chinese want to make a sense out of it, adding spiritual spin on it, the laugh part just slips away along the process.

Sex and politics. The biggest taboos in China. And yet in North America, those are the topics that are mostly used to make laughing material...
I noticed that this little piece of mine was on the most popular list. But as soon as they saw what it is about, they took it off. I guess I should thank them for not banning it...

Sex and politics. The biggest taboos anywhere. Sex sells and everybody hate politics. Bad marketing move for this site if you ask me, missed out huge exposure when someone googles "sex", number one search topic.
The rumor seems true about Chinese, the more books they read, the less chance they laugh at a joke.
"Analysis this" and "Analysis that" should be popular here.

i want to know whether u r against prostitution or for prostitution. then i want to know whether u r against legalization of prostitution or for legalization of prostitution.
for me, i despise prostitution and of course oppose legalization of prostitution. i respect prostitutes who have work ethics but detest pimps.
it seems to me you are neither a prostitute nor a person who will provide free sexes. you are more like a female pimp who dreams of making some serious money from legalization of prostitution.
after all, if there is no money, there is certainly no prostitution. human relationship is not a contractual relationship. it needs some warmth and some freedoms. i embrace a truly liberal society that we can have warm, kind and free sexes with any fellow human beings, no matter between man and woman, or between men, or between women. quantisation of human relationship is a mistake we all make from time to time since the dawn of the invention and establishment of banking system. legalizing this mistake not correcting it, yes, to me, it's a joke.

NOW THAT IS PERSONAL ATTACK! But I got this a lot from female, expeially when I was a teeager. Didn't expect someone who is at a mature age will still do something like this. I guess I have got used to it...
Madam, you have no right to call anyone a female pimp before you have proof what he/she (you need to do some physical examination nowadays) for a fee, supplies another individual with a prostitute for sexual purposes.

Don't think everyone thinking the way you do, which is not much obviously.
Why am I even both? You clearly have no idea what this joke is about.

As much as you have a right to respond, everyone is entitled to have an opinion. While you can respectfully agree or disagree, to resort to personal attack is by itself an insult to yourself. Let us separate the issue from the people to engage a civilized discussion.
One more point. Light up a bit. Sometimes people just want to make a provocative statement to make this place more interesting. Nothing more and nothing less.

It is just a joke from the start. I laughed when I read it. Move on.
On the other hand, it could be good material to write some books on it,

sandyrose, if u think my comment is a personal attack, let it be. however, pls pay attention to "it seems to me" and "are more like". i certainly know nothing about you. i was just speculating from what you have written. i don't think i have reached a conclusion yet. you can help me with that. tell us more about yourself. first, tell us why legalization of prostitution is so important to you. why do you care? are you pretty? do you have a good figure? do you have enough money to enjoy leisure and not to think of making money? or do you have time just to debate, not for the sake of truth or having a point, but for the sake of debate itself. do you have enough sexes? are you satisfied most of the time?
we can actually develop this topic quite interestingly.

Opinions are welcome, no matter how ridicules it is. Personal attack is not, no matter where and no matter how you spin it.
Bottom line is this is public forum, show some respects at least even you disagree.

It seems that you care about this post more than I do. Why do you take it so seriously? Is that because it will ruin whatever underground business you are running?
Yes, I am very confident. I am pretty, I have a good figure, I have more than enough money to support my own life style depending on NO men whatsoever! I enjoy expressing freely on this website and getting the possitive comments back. I also enjoy the attention I am getting. I am not ashamed of speaking it out loud!
As for my sexual activity, it's none of your business. But why do you want to know? You want to know if there is possibility starting a business for female clients? well, I am not a lesbian....

ATuring. I am appalled by the irrelevance of the questions you raised and the way the questions were phrased and their implications. I am not sure if I should attribute these to inadequate language skills - so poor that you can hardly make a sensible and coherent argument without resorting to personal attack, or to you as person who tends to be judgmental and narrow-minded.
Life is too short to have this sort of aggravation. Ignorance and arrogance are two sides of a coin.

Did not read the posts before. However, you may argue most people like "one bird in the hand rather than two birds in the forest." and thereby the diamond ring makes more sense than the cash flow.
But if we argue like this, it already follow your logic.
The issue is the marriage is not only about sex. But the P-activity is sex-oriented only. In another word based on your main arguement, both women and men have other resources to share/contribute other than sex related.
Even you can argue that you only focus on the sex in this, both men and women realize their marginal sex capacity is decreasing as ....

ahha, so this is what the fuzz is all about!
really don't see the point arguing at all, let alone "any personal attack" , shouldn't the visitors to the site all grown ups? well, guess not, don't remember seeing the waring for under age of 18, hehe...
" If a man holding a diamond ring and ask for sex, it is considered romantic"
guess it's too obvious that as it's been pointed out, "marriage <> sex"...so broken logic!!!
well, aren't I too late to comment? it's been a while, never mind!
SandyRose回复于:Tue 05/02 被查看:90次 [修改] [删除] [回复]
Yes all the fuzz...
But I was seriously disappointed when the fun ended... Wasn't that fun to you guys? I certainly enjoyed it!
