Job Description
Our Company’s Telecommunications Technology Center (TTC) seeks a seasoned manager with experience marketing in telecommunication for 3G and IMS technologies to the TELCO Customers and Network Equipment Providers. This Product Marketing Manager role reports to the Director of Product Marketing for Company's Weblogic Communications Platform line of products, and is responsible for a wide range of strategic and tactical objectives:
* Marketing strategy: segmenting the market and identifying the unique opportunities company can capitalize on, with clear differentiation from alternative and competing approaches. The candidate must be capable of strategic planning, with the zeal for figuring out what will open people's wallets;
* Sales support and outbound marketing: developing marketing materials for use by Company's APAC and global sales teams, including sales presentations, customer case studies, data sheets, packaging/pricing, go-to-market plans, internal and external launches and opinion-influencing customer, press and analyst content. The candidate must be a good writer, willing to stretch when necessary to get marketing materials done, be eager to collaborate across groups, and have the presence and authority to meet prospective customers and drive sales;
* Public relations and speaking: representing company in industry forums and communicating with editors and analysts about company's strategy for a particular product, or in a particular market. The candidate must be a good spokesperson, with ample charisma;
* Product strategy: collaborating with company's product management, business development and development teams to develop the product strategy and features needed most by customers. The candidate should be enthusiastic about technology but also able to communicate in clear, business-oriented terms.
Qualifications/Necessary Skills
Qualified candidates will have a history of working for innovative, market-leading high-technology companies; experience across several marketing disciplines; and a strong academic background. Personal characteristics include high-octane brainpower and work ethic, a bit of entrepreneurialism to build a business within a business, and a team-oriented attitude.
