1.Data Warehouse Architect
Primary Job Responsibilities
(List and describe the essential responsibilities of the position for which the individual is held accountable)

The DW ETL Application Architect team is responsible for defining and guiding the implementation of development standards for Data Warehouse ETL applications, including the design and development of standardized ETL infrastructure components. The team is responsible for evaluating and integrating new technologies and acting as a center of expertise on all technologies used for our DW ETL applications. The team serves as the ETL development organization’s interface to other architecture teams, including Operations Architecture, Business Intelligence Architecture and Systems Architecture. The team works with external organizations to support integration of DW ETL technologies into external applications.

Specific Tasks will include:
Designing and directing the development of standard infrastructure components and enhancements.
Developing and enhancing complex infrastructure components under the guidance of senior team members.
Identifying new requirements for the development infrastructure.
Answering questions about development standards and guidelines and identifying opportunities for new or enhanced standards/guidelines.
Providing support for project work conformance to standards and utilization of infrastructure.

The candidate should have
1. Advanced technical skills including high-volume data warehouse design for Teradata RDBMS, ETL tool utilization (Ab Initio or Informatica a plus), SQL programming, UNIX shell scripting, and C/C++ coding
2. Extensive experience with data warehousing concepts including ETL best practices, dimensional modeling and business intelligence support
3. Extensive performance tuning experience in a multi-terabyte relational database environment,
4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present sophisticated technical concepts to a broad range of individuals,
5. Excellent command of software development life cycle activities including analysis, design, development, unit and system testing, and production deployment,
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex transactional data into valuable analytical information,
7. BS degree in CS or equivalent,
8. 5+ years implementing high availability (24x7), large-scale data warehouse systems (preferably using Ab Initio against a Teradata RDBMS),

2.Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager
Primary Job Responsibilities
(List and describe the essential responsibilities of the position for which the individual is held accountable)
Responsibilities will include
 Work with Product Management team and Product Development team to understand and analyze the projects occurring on AAAA site, and help assess impact on Information Management systems.
 Facilitate requirement meetings with AAAA end-users to understand and collect their analytical needed. Document these requirements, resolve ambiguities and conflicting business rules, gather consensus.
 Estimate project duration, resource load and cost for site sponsored as well as internal projects
 Act as project manager to prepare project plans and track process on Information Management projects, actively manage projects from requirements through implementation. Report weekly on progress and deliverables against plan
 Participate in internal code reviews and design meetings to ensure projects are developed to specification
 Work with a data modeler to ensure the database design meets the business requirement
 Proactively identify opportunities or obstacles concerning data needed & data accuracy.
 Identify and diagnose data quality issues and provide recommendations
 Stay up-to-date on the Data Warehouse design / architecture in order to analyze / evaluate projects that affect the Data Warehouse system.
 Provide leadership coaching and guidance to other Business Analysts by reviewing their work, providing best practice trainings and staying in synch with AAAA Corporate procedures.

Education and/ or Relevant Experience
 Chinese spoken and excellent verbal English communication skills are mandatory
 MUST have previous experience as a business system analyst (5 + years), preferably in a large reporting or data warehousing environment (3+ years)
 Should have the capacity to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
 Should be able to communicate fluently with business users, technical people and management across the organization.
 Should have strong database technical experience and strong SQL skills
 A good understanding of data warehousing concept/tools.

3.Sr. Software QA Engineer – RDBMS

We are seeking a talented Senior Software QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance Team. You will play a key role in the testing of complex, multi-tiered distributed software applications. You will collaborate with other QA engineers, Product Managers, Software Developers, Project Managers … etc to:
 Analyze product requirements, identify requirement gaps, and suggest improvements on user experiences
 Create test plans/test cases, perform test execution, and report defects
 Create and maintain automation scripts
 Communicate status & issues in a timely fashion and manage escalations appropriately

Contribute to the design and implementation of complex, multi-tier distributed software applications. As a tools engineer you will be creating and maintaining applications in java, cold fusion and Flex that increase the productivity and efficiency of AAAA’s sizable QA department which operates on 3 continents. These tools may include automation tools and test case management tools as well as complex reports to analyze quality and performance data. This is an opportunity to work in a highly challenging and technical side of software Quality Assurance, using state of the art techniques and tools. Must be able to work independently as well as communicate effectively with developers, operations, release management, and QA peers. Must be able to design solutions based on user requirements, document designs and collect user feedback. Proactively solve problems and Identify project risks and make recommendations to minimize risks. Escalate project issues to appropriate leadership in a timely manner. Propose and research tools, scripts, processes.

This is a position reporting to the Manager, CDC DW, within the IT department at AAAA Shanghai. The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Data Warehouse applications in an enterprise data warehouse system.

Responsibilities will include:
• Work in cooperation with the US Analysis and Development team to prepare logical and physical design documents. These specifications will detail the operation of software intended to extract, transfer and load information from various data sources into the AAAA data warehouse.
• Based on the detailed specifications, develop Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) programs (AbInitio, Informatica, Teradata SQL, Perl/shell script) to populate the warehouse from various source systems. Tune the programs and queries to optimize data load times, ensure data accuracy, error handling and escalation.
• Work with the local development and QA group to document and execute Test plans.
• Report weekly on progress and deliverables against plan.
• Write the support documentation, assist the production handover and deployment the new applications to production.
• Provide leadership, coaching and technical support to junior developers in the group.

6. Sr. Data Warehouse Manager (China)

This is a position reporting to the Director of Information Management, within the IT department at xxx Shanghai. The Sr. Manager of DW Development will be responsible for managing a team of developers and contractors in charge of designing, developing, and implementing Data Warehouse applications in the context of an enterprise data warehouse system.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assume key overall responsibility for the successful implementation of Data integration applications within the Information Management group development center in Shanghai. Define, implement, and oversee sound, high-productivity application development practices within the Development Team
• Manage and coordinate development staff to ensure projects implementation are successful (within time and budget) given project schedules defined with the DW group in US
• Work with Shanghai Dev managers and Business Analysts to ensure software data quality is optimal
• Oversee the production handover and deployment the new applications to production.
• Participate, along with the US DW team, in definition of standards and processes, and ensure these best practices are enforced in the team

9.Data Warehouse Engineer (China)

This is a position reporting to the IMD DW Core Development and Support Manager in SJ US, located within the Dev Support team in the IT department at AAAA Shanghai. The Jr. DW engineer will primarily be responsible for Tier 2 development and support for the core DW areas working with the dev teams in San Jose, China and Seattle. This person will report up via the Dev Support lead in China and the role would involve gaining in-depth familiarity with the DW architecture and doing development/ production support activities detailed below.

Responsibilities will include:
• Understanding the ETL architecture and the data warehouse (dw) platform (Informatica, AbInitio, Teradata RDBMS) thoroughly by participating in development projects under the DW Support lead’s and manager’s guidance.
• Understanding the concepts of Subject Areas (SA), the nightly batch, the service level agreements related to different SAs and the related tiered dev support model.
• Triaging, analyzing and potentially fixing System or etl application related batch failures escalated by Tier 1 oncall support team in China. In case of db/ system fixes required, escalating to DBA/ ops representative via bridge call or IMD Ops ticket. If bug-fix that cannot be fixed without major code changes, then escalating to SAE via bridge call or Clearquest ticket.
• Analyzing impacts and implementing source initiated data host splits, source table moves to new host etc. for Abinitio converted SAs.
• Triaging, analyzing and potentially fixing batch performance issues that have been escalated by the Oncall, system or application architecture teams. Coordinating with the US or CDC based Ops system performance engineer, the DBAs, the developers and the application architecture teams for the same if required.
• In the second phase, potentially taking on third level dev support of specific non business critical dw SAs as they are converted to AbInitio ETL tool. Potentially even doing some development in the conversion area.
• Helping log dev support activities.
