A) Experience
1) Total IT Experience:
2) Years of Experience in the related Skill: 5+ years as a Technical Architect
· Total IT Experience : 8 Years +
· Network Design Experience : 7 +
B) Role Description :
· The candidate will be a key member of the GDN Unit – Technology & Standards Team, focusing on the
development of network technology solutions &
standards for the GDN Business.
· The candidate will bring extensive network design experience to the team and be responsible for developing high-level & detailed technical solutions covering all GDN locations globally.
· We are seeking China’s best Networking experts to apply
Responsibilities will include:
· Develop detailed technology Designs, Budgets & Bill Of Materials for new facilities and/or facility expansions
· Develop detailed network migration strategies/integration plans
· Oversee facility build-out teams to ensure deployment is inline with planned Technical design
· Evaluate Telco vendors & provide recommendations
· Perform device audits against the GDN Device Configuration Standards
· Complete Technology Evaluations/Recommendations & present to Senior Management
· Liaise effectively with other groups/teams, including the GDN Unit Operational teams across the globe, ATIS NS, ATIS GNOC and the GDN Unit Client Connectivity Teams.
· Lead Global Design Projects on-behalf of the Technology & Standards Team
· Create formal Device Configuration Standards documents on behalf of the team.
· Develop solution recommendations & present them to Senior Management
C) Mandetory skill
· 7+ years experience in LAN/WAN Architecture Design & Integration
· Must speak English well
· Demonstrated MPLS & BGP design &integration experience
· Demonstrated experience in performing Telco & Vendor analysis & ｓｅｌｅｃｔion
· Proven experience in playing the lead Architect role on a large networking solution
· Ability to work independently & continuously deliver· Excellent oral and written skills
· Demonstrated Experience in presenting proposed technology solutions to Senior Management
· Ambitious, has pride in his/her work & attention to detail
· Proven ability to manage own workload, priorities & deadlines.
· High level strategic thinking, and the ability to translate business aspirations into achievable IT strategies
· Ability to articulate complex business/technical concepts and strategies in simple terms
· Expert knowledge of the Cisco produce suite
· Proven experience in developing Detailed Technical Design documents
· Cisco Routers and Switch design
· BGP, MPLS, EIGRP and OSPF design & integration experience
· University Degreee D) Optional Skill
· Tertiary qualifications (CCIE) and/or relevant business experience
· Security products (Netscreen, Cisco PIX, Checkpoint, Sniffers, IDS)
· Nortel Contivity VPN Servers
· Packeteer Packetshapers (QoS, prioritisation of traffic)
· DNS/DHCP design
· Content Filtering (ISA Proxy, Websense, Surfcontrol)
