In daily work, we always found us irritated by some reason. Then begin to wonder why the involved parties always do this "unfair" things to us? Why the problem could not be solved? Why they could not understand us clearly enough? It's found that in most cases, the problem is result in mis-match of the information in mind of the two sides. In other words, we are lack of enough communication.
I'd like to open this as a kickoff topic. Anyone interest on this please share your comments freely.
My comments (May add as soon as something new available, also correct me if anything wrong):
1. Direct way:
i> Raise query or give feedback to related parties as soon as any unclear issue detected.
ii>Give feedback directly to related party instead of complaining behind the curtain.
ii>No absolute authorities, anyone would make mistake. So do not rely on one person to solve all the problems. And suspicious on anything you see unreasonable.
iv> Do raise suggestions when you see it's reasonable. You can't know if it's correct from other's view. But you can be sure that from your points of view, it's a good idea. Then why not just bring it out to related parties?
2. Long-term:
i> Learn about each other in different ways: What is your partner's language style? What is your partner's workstyle? What the main problem they encountered?
Plus anything you see it could be help to improve the efficiency.
ii> Share your personal hobby if you see appropriate. Thus we can understand others based on common interest.
iii> In one word, try to understand others while show others what you are.
I think most important things to build up a comfort and efficient partnership is to build up mutual trust on each other: Trust your teammates, trust your supervisor, trust your sub reports. If they can't meet the standard we all agreed, then help them to get there.
When we share common goals, trust each other, help each other to improve, then nothing would be impossible. Isn't it?
