Operational Responsibilities
Expedite orders and provide buying assistance to users: On user request, expedite orders according to defined and implemented requisitioning and purchase order creation process. Provide guidance and support to the user during a request to ensure use of proper buying channel and standard templates according to defined policies and procedures (more general support will be delivered through the helpdesk). As needed, create and/or complete request/PO to meet specific business requests, and ensure proper spend approvals and authorization execution. If needed, assist with obtaining necessary approvals, inserting correct GL and cost center codes and other information such as vendor information and prices to orders. Select supplier, tender & contract based on standard contracts. If no standard contract exist, initiate sourcing procedure with On-shore Tactical Sourcing Specialist. Modify changed requisitions or cancel POs if they are no longer needed.
To some extent Sourcing support will be performed on request of onshore sourcing, i. e. Spend and Supplier analysis, Strategy Development, complete Supplier Shortlist, Send RFQ, Evaluate Response, select supplier, legal create new contract.

Follow up late deliveries: Pro-actively follow up on late deliveries. Coordinate return of incorrectly delivered goods to vendor (performed by the user), and initiate associated credit processing with AP-Team as appropriate.

Manage PO exceptions: Identify PO exception process, guiding non compliant users and suppliers in correct process and taking action to resolve open issues by providing explanations of purchasing policies and proper purchasing procedures. If no resolution can be achieved escalate to team lead and other responsible persons utilizing escalation parameters and procedures. Track similarities in non-compliance and feed into Solution Adoption Teams to remedy exception processes.

Provide analytical support to sourcing team: Backfill Tactical Sourcing team and retained organization as necessary with support staff to run detailed analytics on sourcing projects as required.

Maintain and enhance knowledge to improve service quality Aim to enhance all team expertise by looking for skill development potential. Suggest and implement process improvements to continuously improve services delivered to the Client. Demonstrate, and seek to deepen, awareness of category and industry issues and drivers, use to initiate and design in business process excellence improvements.

Working knowledge of areas of supervision:
Vendor Management – proactive monitoring & analysis of vendor performance, supporting the needs of onshore vendor management activities. Ensure that the offshore activity is managed effectively, balancing cost-effectiveness of the service, with the need to deliver a high-quality client interactive service.

Contract Management – management of the supplier contract database, supporting the needs of onshore contract management activities. Ensure that the offshore activity is managed effectively to balance cost-effectiveness of the service.

Monitoring & Tracking – data mining & analysis to support the production of management information reports. Provide high quality reports to the Client and Accenture teams, ensuring that contractual SLAs and service obligations are met for the work within scope of the role. Identify opportunities/reports to improve or enhance service delivery

People Management Responsibilities
This is a team lead role, with direct reports from the Monitoring & Tracking Specialist, Vendor Management Analyst and Contract Management Analyst. Set objectives and perform appraisals in line with guidelines for Accenture Services workforce personnel. Work with the onshore teams to ensure that individuals have stretching and rewarding careers. Develop effective, motivated, high-performing teams. Where necessary, take effective corrective action with staff to ensure that quality, relationship and confidentiality agreements with the client are maintained.
