A Forture 500 high tech company with business leadership in broadband networks, digital video headends and digital subscriber products for cable, Telco and broadcast industries is setting up a new R&D center in Shanghai, China . Currently following positions are open:
Product Marketing Manager
Job Description:
• Understand and influence application, technology and market trend of cable TV, Telco IPTV and multimedia broadcast industries
• Participate major technical and marketing conference. Present and promote new technology and product solutions
• Build close working relationship with customers and distributors to understand their application needs and conduct analysis
• Define and champion new product concept
• Contribute to the development of product and business strategy
• Organize and provide product training to sales team and distributors
Requirements:
• More than 5 years experiences in cable TV industry or similar industry such as telecom;
• Very good communication skills and presentation capability in both Chinese and English;
• At least 2 years product and/or marketing management experience;
• Good understanding of cable TV and/or telecommunication technologies;
• Working experiences in multinational companies
• Prefer overseas education background with a Master degree, or an MBA
Digital Media R&D Manager
Job Description:
• Manage a group of digital media R&D engineers to develop digital video product and solutions
• Lead the collaboration with company’s other R&D centers around world
• Build a strong R&D team with a world class R&D operation procedure
• Work closely with product management, marketing and sales to deliver new product and solution in a timely manner with high quality
• Be a technical leader in the areas of digital video to set right technology direction to the team
Requirements:
• At least a Master degree of engineering with more than 5 years design experiences;
• At least 2 years R&D management experience;
• Digital circuit design skills such as architecture and FPGA design, DSP and firmware programming;
• Product development experiences in IRD, encoder, multiplexer with MPEG-2 and/or MPEG-4 compression technologies;
• Good technical know-how in MPEG, DVB, streaming media standards
• Good technical know-how in software programming and telecommunication technologies such as SDH, Ethernet, IP networks, etc;
• Good communication skills in both Chinese and English
• A Master of Engineering degree or higher is preferred
Technical Writer
Job Description:
• Responsible for designing, creating and maintaining product datasheet, user manual, product promotion documents for both internal documentation process and external customers
• Document translation between English and Chinese
• Coordinate the technical writing /content creation with:
• The company legal
• Product management
• R&D
• External partners if needed
Requirements:
• Have at least 2 years experience in technical writing
• Speak and write English fluently
• Good computer document processing and Internet application skills
• Technical English education background with a Bachelor degree is preferred
