Software Staff Quality Assurance Engineer – Shanghai, China
This is a very exciting career opportunity to be part of a fast growing team, with a challenging distributed software development environment. The QA Engineer will participate in the entire test cycle, including: defining quality standards, creating test plans, designing infrastructure tests, test tools, defect tracking, bug analysis, and product quality reporting. This person will be based in Shanghai, China, lead and guide the local QA team. The person will:
•Work closely with the Shanghai QA development team to provide technical leadership, detailed review, and guidance
•Work closely with US QA engineers to manage the delivery, integration, and testing of OnVantage's products
•Coordinate with product management, software delivery and software analysis teams to provide review of test plan and test cases
•Provide project management and status tracking for Shanghai QA team, and identify issues and suggest solutions
•Provide general support for Shanghai and US QA activities
Qualifications / Requirements:
•2+ software development experience in US software company
•A minimum of 5 years in SQA and/or software development.
•Extensive experience with black box, white box, performance, scalability testing, and test automation (Java and Open Source tools desirable).
•In-depth knowledge of test cycles, test tools, and testing methodologies.
•A strong commitment to standards in software quality.
•Technical competency with HTML, DHTML, VBScript, JavaScript, Java, J2EE and Apache is a plus.
•Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills a must.
•Experience in working with distributed teams.
•A BS in Computer Science or related field.
Senior Software Engineer – Shanghai, China
This is a very exciting career opportunity to be part of a fast growing team, with a challenging distributed software development environment. This person will be based in Shanghai, China, as part of the Software Delivery Engineering team. The person will:
•Work closely with the Shanghai software development team to provide technical leadership, detailed review, and guidance
•Work closely with US software engineers to manage the delivery, integration, and testing of OnVantage's products
•Coordinate with product management and software analysis teams to provide explanation and clarification of requirements, and help to initiate new product development efforts
•Provide project management and status tracking jointly for Shanghai development team, and identify issues and suggest solutions
•Provide development support for Shanghai and US QA activities
Qualifications / Requirements:
•2+ software development experience in US software company
•5+ years hands-on J2EE experience for web-based large scale applications
•3+ years hands-on RDBMS experience (preferably SQL Server)
•Have strong hands-on knowledge of building scalable, high-performance enterprise software
•Strong OO design knowledge and practice
•Very good team player, and good communication and presentation skills
•Good understanding of project management concepts
•Prefer 2 years as a technical lead in a US software company
•Prefer oral/written Mandarin competency
•BSCS or BSEE is required
