A friend of mine recently contracted something that would take him 2-3 months himself (translating to $20k-$30k) to some Chinese programmers for 8000 RMB and got it back in 1 month. Have to think how long can we keep the job here in the US... For those of us that are not going back to China yet, how do we participate in the booming development in China/India?
One approach is to buy stocks/mutual funds focused on these areas. From my Indian coworkers I learned something about these two: Wipro (WIT) and Morgan Stanley India Investment Fund Inc (IIF), both had very good performance recently. IIF was under $10 a year ago and is $27.34 today, and WIT went from $21 to $49. Some Chinese stocks did very well too. Sina comes from $13 to $35 today in a year.
Given the huge gain is it too late to come in? Any other ideas? 各位高手请不吝指教!
