Programming Director 程序总监
Responsibility
Report to CEO directly
Supervise Lead Programmer and Architect
Manage the SE department and ensure the optimum performance
Ensure the quality of Programming deliverables
Participant to recruitment and training of new talents
Involvement in evaluation of SE staff
Manage communication with clients in terms of SE project progress and technique matters.
Requirement
Manage training plan and conduct training
Project and staff management skills
Good listenning, speaking, reading and writing skills in English, can communicate directly with foreign client.
Excellent understanding of technique
Good knowledge of game development, game techniques and platform, minimum 4 years of game development experience
Minimum 8 years programming experience
Game Design Manager
The design department manages over 40 designers (and growing) across 2 studios and several simultaneous projects. The 3 missions of the Design Department are:
• MISSION #1: Producers get the support they need from designers to finish their projects on time, with quality and within budget
• MISSION #2: We create good conditions for designers to do their best job
• MISSION #3: Designers are trained and grow so that it benefits both them and Virtuos
We are now looking for Design Managers for our Chengdu and Shanghai studios.
Responsibilities:
• Work with the Senior Design Manager to manage the Design Department
• Collaborate with the Executive Production team on setting up new projects
• Assign designers on projects, according to the project’s specificities
• Support producers to set up design process on their projects
• Support design leads all along the project to achieve quality and maintain good working conditions
• Review deliveries to clients and improve when necessary. The Design Manager may be asked to punctually work low level
• Review project’s quality and design team’s performance; report to the Production team
• Evaluate designers’ performances and give them personal ob<x>jectives to improve their performance
• Organize training, best practices, instructions and other material to grow designers
• Collaborate with HR to recruit new designers
Requirements:
• 5 + years in the Game Industry, in a design position
• Experience in Asia
• All-around designer: has worked on systems, levels, with some experience in UI
• Basic art and code knowledge is a plus
• Must have shipped at least 2 titles as a lead designer
• Strong creative skills, can generate efficient ideas and build upon them.
• Good communication skills, can listen, filter, summarize and explain to persons of various experience levels and cultures
• Strong organization skills, in particular time management
• Good leadership and team spirit.
• Experience in training will be a plus.
• Genuine interest in people’s career growth
Art Director
Responsibility:
a.Manage one of our teams of 40+ Junior and Senior 3D model and texture artists engaged in next gen projects.
b. Participate to recruitment and training of new talent. Establish Art production pipeline in coordination with clients.
c. Ensure technical and artistic quality of deliverables. Manage communication with clients about artistic and technical matters.
d. Reports to Art Studio Director.
Requirement:
a. Expert in 3DSMax or Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush.
b. College / University degree in Art related field(including architecture, industrial design, textile/fashion design). Strong artistic aptitudes and skills in 2D design, drawing, painting.
c. At least 4 years experience as Lead Artisit, Senior Artist or Artist Team Leader with hangs-on technical experience including X-Box, PS3 and PS2, and proven track record on real-time 3D games.
d.Highly organized individual with an eye for details and a passion for leading and mentoring.
e. Good working knowledge of English is a must. Position ba<x>sed in Chengdu.
