Job Description:
CICC is looking a unique candidate with strong business analysis skills and hands-on production support experience. The qualified candidates should demonstrate related experience in the financial arena (trading, stocks, equities, and regulation) with strong background in the information technology field, and will be expected to handle project work in addition to day-to-day operations.
The job responsibilities associated with this role may be expected to include but not limited to:
• Blend technical and business knowledge with communication skills to bridge the gap between business users and technical objectives and serve as an IT liaison into the business user communities.
• Develop detailed functional, data and technical requirements using best practice processes and techniques.
• Develop comprehensive functional specifications and data models that will be the blueprint for technical development and implementation efforts.
• Work with business owner and user groups to scope and prioritize software releases.
• Perform impact assessments due to changes in business directions and market conditions.
• Participate in design walkthroughs and verify and execute QC test scripts and results.
• Perform detailed data analysis and present findings in a cohesive, high impact format to drive and inform business and technical decisions.
• Work with business liaison to develop User Acceptance Test (UAT) scripts, and coordinate UAT.
• Author user guides, release notes, and training materials.
• Assist in establishing prioritization and scope of multiple tasks.
• Execute tasks according to implementation project plans.
• Support end users on complex technical and functional application issues including FO, MO, BO, Product Controls, and Risk.
• Respond to end users within timeframe dictated by the severity of the problem, document and track (case histories, issues, and action steps)
• Research technical processes using sources such as error logs and product technical documentation and identify solutions to resolve problems or improve efficiency.
• Respect internal IT norms, standards and processes
• Timely reporting of production and project status to client and IT management
• Work closely with various groups, particularly technical teams, to resolve system issues
• Partner with development teams on release management
• Managing all significant issues and risks and escalating as necessary.
• Effectively manage the Client Relationship with the end user community
Knowledge
• Knowledge of the assessment and implementation of business processes, process improvement, product development, and strategic initiatives.
• Familiar with the front to back business flow of Asian Sales and Trading business and trading platform like OMS, DMA, Algo Trading, Basket Trading, Exchange Connectivity.
• Exposure to the post trade processing (i.e. trade capture, allocation, confirmation, clearance and settlement) is preferred
• Hands-on experience in SQL, UML, scripting, Excel, common documentation and presentation tools is required.
• Experience in full lifecycle development.
• Demonstrated experience with professional business process analysis tools and techniques.
• Proven experience with professional requirements and change managements tools and techniques.
• Provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable and quality solutions. Includes documenting system requirements, documentation of support run book.
Skills and Abilities
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Dynamic, detail oriented, fast learning capacity and able to work in a high pressure environment.
• Ability to work on different subject matter simultaneously.
• Can communicate clearly and excellently with a wide variety of teams/functions (verbal/written in English, Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Analytical and problem solving skills combined with exceptional business acumen.
• Aptitude for sales and trading support to close the gap between business and IT teams.
• Familiarity with the trading, operations, documentation, settlement and reporting processes at a sell-side firm or bank.
• Over 4 years of related experience preferably in investment banking industry
Qualifications
• Undergraduate/Graduate degree in a Business, Finance, and Computer Science
