Title:Sr Production Engineer.
Background requirement: Process Engineer and related
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Understands all applicable process technology, equipment and control technology. Works with Technical Advising and plant personnel it to optimize operations, meet Business and plant goals. (Production, cost, quality).
2. Participates in advanced trouble shooting and coaches others to learn these skills.
3. Implements best practices in operations in order to optimize operations. Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET), and specific Operating Discipline requirements are in place
4. Initiates changes to Plant Operating procedures to ensure they are valid and up to date. Works with Production Technicians in this respect.
5. Networks with other engineers on site and within the global business to leverage knowledge on plant operations. Example: Production, Improvement, etc.
6. As required communicate technical information and issues to plant personnel, Technology or Expertise centers.
7. As required participates on and leads teams in his/her area of accountability
8. Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
9. Provides technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
10. For equipment that is critical for the process ensures that work requests include engineering input on repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. and if necessary provide onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from this data.
11. Ensures repairs, repair techniques, and equipment specific training are documented and made available.
12. Provides engineering support for specification, identification, and purchasing of needed parts.
13. Provides technical input on scope of work for daily maintenance and turnaround jobs.
14. As appropriate and required, reviews spare parts lists for existing equipment and works with MRO to insure parts are identified in support of the maintenance equipment strategy..
15. Develops maintenance operating procedures in support of the maintenance equipment strategy.
16. Participates in developing the maintenance equipment strategy from the facility strategy by providing technical and historical information.
Understands the economic impact of engineering decisions taken. Provides technical input for developing the maintenance budget.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelors of Science Degree or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or Plastics/Polymer Engineering;
2. Good command of both spoken and written English.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be computer literate;
4. at least 5 years experience in manufacturing operations environments
