Software Systems Engineer
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the software team to deliver a product in UTRAN that adheres to the 3GPP standards. The major responsibilities include:
· Work with product marketing to capture customer requirements for lab trials and network deployments
· Work with product architecture team to identify customer use cases and to fine tune the system architecture
· Provide technical leadership and serve as a domain expert to the software team
· Interact with 3rd party vendors to resolve technical issues
· Devise development lab test setups (test equipment purchases and test criteria)
Skill Requirements
· Ten years experience in telecom with concentration in wireless network
· Thorough understanding of 3GPP standards and releases
· Extensive experiences in:
o Operator network deployments in wireless backhaul
o Node B and RNC
o Packet core network (SGSN, GGSN)
o 3G signaling processing
· Extensive experience in telecom protocol: NBAP, RANAP, RRC, RLC, SS7, MAC, TCAP, ALCAP, ATM, FP, TCP, UDP, IP, Ethernet, SONET/SDH, PDH
· Familiar with proprietary extensions to the standards by major Node B and RNC vendors
· Hands-on experiences in Product Requirement, System Architecture and Design, and System Integration
· Expert knowledge in real-time system （preferred）
· Proficiency in C/C++ with Linux OS（preferred）
· Strong analytical, organizational, and inter-personal skills
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
