Our client, a leading lighting manufacturers in Europe, is seeking for Procurement Manager to join their production and purchase teams in Nansha, China.
Responsibilities:
Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
Prepare bid awards
Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
Requirements:
University graduate in Engineering, Lighting or related disciplines
Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, specialise in Lighting or Construction Materials
Experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations.
Strong understanding of suppliers and market dynamics and requirements.
Willingness work in a global team of professionals.
Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin, Cantonese is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to develop relationships and negotiate contracts
Flexible, outgoing and independent
