Clearly and consistently communicate organization vision to engineering teams. Guide engineering organization’s efforts to achieve this vision.
Plan and execute programs to raise the management and technical level of the COE organization at all levels. Groom and attract top talents. Enable the teams at the COE to make higher level contributions to the business units.
Manage multiple EMC engineering Teams. Drive the cross-BU integration and collaboration activities.
As part of EMC China COE leadership team, working with other leaders to drive the long term strategies of China COE.
Evangelize EMC technology vision to customers and media. Represent EMC in technical and industry conferences and forums in the region and establish thought leadership in the industry.
Required Qualifications:
10 years experience leading software development organizations
Demonstrated success in effectively communicating at all levels of an organization
Ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority
Demonstrated successful time management and organization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong mentorship and leadership capabilities.
Experience working in a multi-national corporation and a geographically distributed engineering organization.
Familiar with software development methodologies and processes
Willing to do international travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Chinese language skills
Remote team management experience
Both hardware and software technical knowledge
Understanding of storage technologies and EMC products
Strong network in China
Operation management skills
