Our client is a Fortune 500 US chemical company, they are looking for a Senior Internal Audit Manager
.
1. Lead teams performing audits on a global basis. Responsibilities as the team leader include:
a. Gain an understanding of the process and identify potential control risks
b. Prepare audit plan including areas to be audited and team member assignments
c. Coach team members during the audit on audit techniques and methods of analysis
d. Evaluate the information learned by the team and draw conclusions regarding the adequacy of controls
e. Review specific recommendations for improvement with management
f. Write formal audit report
2. Have responsibilities for a sub-set of the Asia-Pacific region for the following areas:
a. Conduct the annual risk assessment process and propose the audits for the planning cycle
b. Maintain contact with management to identify developing risks and to provide consultation.
c. Plan the high-level audit scope and support audit teams regarding relevant risks, deficiencies, and trends.
The sub-set will be determined based on the background of the successful candidate. This sub-set could be a specific geographic region, such as ASEAN; joint ventures; mega-projects; or specific functional areas.
3. Direct work on continuous improvement efforts (e.g., audit process automation).
4. Coach new team members. Support the on-boarding process and education and training needs of the team using materials available in the department / company.

Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related subject required. MBA is a plus. Professional audit certification (such as CPA or CIA) is highly desirable. Six Sigma certification is a plus.
