Human Resource Manager – Qingdao, China
Primary Function:
• Responsible for an effective management of human resources and implement the organization’s recruitment strategy so that job vacancies are quickly filled, new employees are smoothly integrated into the organization and the candidates selected best match the needs of the position and the business.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as HR advisor role to HR Director – China and responsible for the full spectrum of HR management and practices in Qingdao office:
• Ensure a cohesive working environment in the office through the adherence of labour-related laws and regulations; and creating a cordial, positive, collaborative working environment through effective team-building activities and employee events.
• Ensure positive employee relations between line managers and employees by educating and training line managers on the points of law and effective management.
• Recruit the right person for the right job at a right price by working closely with line managers in the selection and recruitment process by ensuring role profiling, interviewing and on-boarding processes are well-documented and fairly executed.
• Ensure Kellogg rewards competitively in the office by working closely with C&B Manager – China to participate in job matching, salary surveys and benefits review in the various markets and propose appropriate recommendations to HR Director/management.
• Responsible for the effective and efficient HR administration by formulating and implementing improvement initiatives such as payroll, annual leave tracking etc.
• Ensure all controls and compliances are in place and in line with corporate guidelines while adhere to all local country regulations. Proactively establishes policies and procedures to add value to current system/process.
• Serve as a business partner in the development of a best-fit organization in alignment with business strategy and objectives. Continuously be involved and provide advice in organisation building projects i.e. reorganisation of business structure, redundancy exercises, termination/lay-off of employees etc.
• Work closely with in-house legal dept and external lawyer to deal with employees’ special cases.
Preferred Education & Experience :
• A university degree holder in H.R./ Business Administration, preferably with an MBA qualification. Minimum 3 – 5 years H.R. management experience, preferably in a FMCG environment.
• Strong communication skills in Chinese and English (oral and written).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and networking.
• Good business sense and willing to work as business partner besides HR professional
• Effective leadership skills to manage several projects at one time and ensure the team meet deadlines including global projects/ initiatives.
• Superior project planning skills will be necessary as conflicting priorities and time pressures will be issues the incumbent needs to deal with on an ongoing basis.
• Strong computer knowledge in word processing/database system.
• Possess grounding in Kellogg’s Values and Kellogg Business Leader Model.
