Job Title: Senior Architect

Job Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:

1. Consult on overall architecture

2. Provide perspective on industry trends, future directions

3. Recommend next generation development tools and techniques

4. Experiment with and provide benefits for various web 2.0 tool sets

5. Strong communication link with Canada (ongoing collaboration)

6. Initiation and oversight of technical documentation

7. Effective communication across developers and business leaders

8. Create architecture prototypes / develop frameworks

9. General application development

10. Team setup and management

Qualifications:

1. 8+ years Java development experience in a web application environment

2. 5+ years J2EE web application architecture development (Websphere, javascript, JSP, Servlets, xml, webservices, etc)

3. Sun Certified Java Architect

4. Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in object Oriented Design and use of Design Patterns

5. Broad knowledge of the Java Platform with specialization in the creation of multi-tiered applications

6. Proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects

7. Experience with open source technologies such as Struts, Spring, etc

8. Proven experience with relational databases tuning and performance

9. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems quickly

10. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members as well as non-technical members of the organization

11. Experience creating technical documentation in various forms

12. Excellent English written and verbal skills are essential
