Technical Support Engineer - China

Responsible for pre-sale and post-sale technical interactions customers and potential customers in China

Location:

Shanzhen

Job Description

• System testing and Demonstrations to customers
• Product and technology presentations
• Support customers’ evaluation process and field trials
• Integration with customers’ systems, hardware and software
• Troubleshooting and system debug
• Pre-sale and post-sale support
• Tradeshows and exhibits demo setup
• Compiling and editing technical documentation and reports
• Extensive interface with Siverge R&D Project managers of China's customers
• Interface between the R&D team and customers

Job Requirements

• BSc in Electrical Engineering / Computer sciences
• Extensive experience with system manufacturers equipment
• 5 years of experience with customer support in the telecom field, including system engineering level support and troubleshooting experience
• Wide knowledge with telecommunication protocols like Sonet/SDH, PDH, VCAT, HDLC/PPP, GFP, ATM/IMA
• Proficient with networking protocols and test equipment
• Strong advantage – familiar with Tier 1 companies (like ZTE, Huawei, FireHome, Raisecom, etc.)
• Strong customer orientation
• Strong presentation, oral and written communications skills
• Fluent in English. An advantage – prior experience with Israeli companies
• Experience with working in remote in a global team
• Must pay strong attention to details and have good organizational skills
• Hard worker, highly motivated and energetic
• Heavy traveler
• Executer and target oriented
