Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead one or multiple hardware development projects
- Influence technical direction of the hardware development
- Review functional specifications and board designs
- Collaborate with a global design team and provide regular project status
- Interface with Joint Design Manufacture (JDM)
- Interface with external component vendors and technology partners
- Conduct design reviews and develop or review test plans
- Generation and review of specifications and design proposals
- Coordinate lab bring-up and testing of prototype designs
- Testing of hardware using both commercial and internally developed software tools and applications
- Interface with business and other internal organizations to define functional requirements

Skills

- 3 to 5 years of experience in the design, debug, and qualification of hardware systems
- Direct experience with System on Chip (SOC) technologies
- IA Experience desirable
- Experience with USB, Ethernet, and SATA technologies
- Experience with Linux operating system a plus
- Excellent communication, technical and leadership skills
- Ability to influence others, both internally and globally
- Ability to form and lead cross-functional teams
- Strong sense of urgency and teamwork
- Strong lab skills and experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and circuit emulators
- Ability to work well both alone or in small teams
- Prior experience with project management tools and methodology is helpful
- Knowledge of Analog Design, PCB Layout and Signal Integrity skills is a plus
- Experience in high-end consumer electro-mechanical designs a plus
