Position:
Training Developer and Trainer (Full-time Employee)
Reports to:
Training Manager
Location:
Taipei, Taiwan or Shenzhen, China
Job Description:
The successful candidate will develop and deliver technical training content covering the features, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Wireless Wi-Fi networking products.
Qualifications & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Degree in Instructional Design is highly desirable
Minimum 5 years experience developing technical training presentations and hands-on lab exercises (including 2+ years developing wireless networking content)
Minimum 3 years experience as a networking instructor
Required Skills:
Fluency and literacy (read and write) in English and Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese)
Ability to learn new technology product features quickly
Ability to analyze product features to determine course development requirements and schedule
Expertise in using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat (Adobe Captivate and Adobe Presenter knowledge is desirable)
Ability to develop training materials in English and Chinese
Ability to present Ruckus courseware to students in a classroom environment
Ability to travel worldwide
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Development and delivery of Wireless specific training curriculum for our employees, distributors, resellers, VARs, and end users. The development format is both instructor-led lecture+lab and online.
Conduct formal needs analysis to determine specific training needs. This will require interfacing with Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Support staff.
Develop our Wireless specific curriculum covering Wi-Fi Access Points, Wi-Fi network controllers, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and network management
Develop detailed hands-on lab exercises to support the lectures
Design and deliver train-the-trainer courses to our Wireless SEs and channel partner instructors on new education products
