QA Team Manager (Media)-TEC00007582
Description
Role and Responsibilities:
•Write and execute test cases, test scenarios and test plans for projects
•Candidate will be responsible for scoping and sizing test effort on projects
•Perform functional, regression, load, performance and all testing associated with projects.
•Will attend daily calls with US Onsite Lead for functional area and execute agenda for the day.
•Test front-end Web applications as well as back-end infrastructure
•Write automated functional test scripts using Ruby, Watir, Firewatir and load scripts using Loadrunner.
•Ability to lead and motivate offshore team members on a daily basis to execute the task at hand.
•Participate in identifying, developing and implementing applicable processes and controls within the QA group
•Work directly with local Business and Development teams to formulate testing strategy
•Create weekly status report detailing progress of all ongoing projects
•Must be able to work with minimal supervision and take charge of projects
•Ability to work in an Onsite offshore model.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree or above
•Minimum 5 years experience testing front and backend applications.
•Excellent verbal and written English communications skills required.
•Attention to detail and a passion for detail-oriented work
•Must possess good interpersonal skills, problem solving ability and strong analytical skills. Should thrive in a fast-paced client driven environment.
Required skills or knowledge:
•Experience testing Web and Database applications and working knowledge of Unix/Linux, SQL.
•Knowledge of Web Server, HTTP protocol, xml, Basic Networking and javascript.
•Experience scripting using either Perl or Ruby.
•Experience testing J2EE applications.
•Experience with white and black box testing
•Experience with any Defect tracking tool like Test Director, bugzilla or Scarab..
•Experience in test automation of functional test cases and load testcases using either Ruby-Watir, QTP, Silk and Loadrunner.
•Familiarity with various testing methodologies, Strategies and SDLC
