ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:• Involved in the architecture, design and/or design modification of software products.
• Write product architecture and design for internal publication and conduct feasibility studies to document and publish results and/or introduce new ideas to the gaming systems product development discipline.
• Evaluation of current and future field implementations.
• Recommend design modifications or enhancements to eliminate serious software design road blocks, or significantly improve the product performance.
• Develop and apply advanced software engineering theories, methods and research techniques to validate or test assigned hypothesis.
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to engineers and technical support staff.
• Provide technical consultation to management, technical staff and other organizations.
• Reviews literature, patents and current trends relevant to the solution of assigned problem statements.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:Required:
• BSCS degree or equivalent, plus fifteen (15) years experience or MS degree plus twelve (12) years software development experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of n-tier architecture, design and development experience.
• Experience in .NET Framework and C#.
• Intimate knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
• Familiarity with xml and related technologies (xsd schemas etc.).
• Working experience with, and understanding of Windows 2003/2008 operating system and Windows API
• The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, good oral and written communication skills, have a high level of interpersonal skills.
• Must be a self motivated team player with the ability to work in a customer oriented, very fast-paced and demanding environment with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to obtain a gaming card upon employment.
• A security investigation will be conducted.
• Some travel may be required.
Desirable:• Java related technologies is a plus
• Advanced DBA and SQL programming skills is a plus
• Experience in secure socket communications using TCP/IP and SSL a plus
• Good understanding of web development platforms, technologies, such as ASP and ASP.NET is a plus.
• Experience with GUI design concepts is a plus.
