Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Management of all RTNS development and QA teams.
• Line management of development and QA managers
• Development and supervision of the development process, working closely with Nottingham to do so.
• Ensuring that all teams are providing accurate and timely estimates and high quality design documentation.
• Ensuring that scheduling of tasks and allocation of work is being carried out effectively across all teams.
• Ensuring that all work carried out by the teams follows appropriate process.
• Monitoring of progress and reporting of same to senior management in Nottingham and London.
• Identifying and pursuing improvements to the software development process.
• Ensuring that Configuration Management processes and procedures are sufficient and adhered to.
• Ongoing staffing and staff management to ensure development delivery is maintained and is constantly improving.
Qualifications
Education:
Educated to degree level or evidence of an equivalent level of technical competence.

• Excellent organisational skills.
• Strong track record in the delivery of software based solutions and development management.
• Strong understanding of software systems, development issues, methodologies, and processes within a professional software development practice.
• Strong technical/development background
• Experience of running a medium or large-sized development team
