JOB SPECIFICATIONS – REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Key Experience
• Minimum of 15 years experience
• Preferred background to include a combination of technical development / architecture, consultancy, line management (ideally development management) and support. Technical and line management experience are essential; support and consultancy experience optional
• Experience of datafeeds or real-time systems strongly preferred
• Science degree preferred; MBA beneficial
Required Skills (including but not limited to)

• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, including recruitment, career management and mentoring
• Ability to recruit / retain, structure and motivate a high performing team including effective delegation
• Ability to inspire confidence and trust at a senior level, builds and maintains networks across and beyond the organisation to help deliver core objectives
• Demonstrate strong leadership and influence across all key stakeholders. Gain the trust and confidence of these groups. Establish Service Level Agreements with each group – including, RDFD business / product management / launch management / business programme management / Company support centre / SPS / IDN / BDN / RDFD regional and global technology teams
• Expected to have significant client interaction with regard to customer problem resolution, as well as representing the product in client visits / meetings
Management
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Proven experience in large scale project and programme management
• Ensure that project milestones, cost and quality standards are adhered to - manage activities to successful conclusion by planning, prioritising and resourcing effectively
• Comprehensive, proactive and accurate risk assessment, issue management and status reporting
• Knowledge of a structured methodology such as Prince 2 or MSP preferred but not essential
• Uphold and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, statutory requirements and regulations (e.g. corporate DR testing, capacity management)
• Attend and help drive weekly Service Forum and Change Advisory Board meetings
• Make commercial rather than pure technical decisions - assess commercial and cost implications of actions over short and medium term
• Extremely strong issue analysis and resolution skills. Proven ability to take clear ownership and drive to resolution
Process
• Service and quality management process, tools and techniques – able to identify and drive forwards necessary changes to the product and associated processes in order to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service
• Ability to analyse and improve the current technology lifecycle, which spans from analysis to development to testing to deployment and client support
• Change management skills – demonstrate an appreciation of the need for change, how it can be achieved. Ability to manage and drive change effectively; good conflict resolution skills
• Develops criteria to measure outputs and success
