TEAM OVERVIEW
The team covers a wide and interesting range of critical processes that are fundamental to the successful operation of the Investment Bank. These include trade support, control, reconciliation, settlement and confirmation activities across all three product areas.
Each team member is responsible for the mitigation of risk through the timely and accurate execution of processes in their control. Therefore the candidates’ ability to analyze and resolve problems efficiently within a fast paced environment is critical.
The key stakeholders are primarily the business being supported (Equity Derivatives or Rates/Credit Derivatives) and global Operations’ teams. The Shanghai-based team also needs to work closely with IT, Change and Business management to ensure the accurate management of trade flows in both domestic and international derivatives.
Successful candidates will be expected to further improve straight through processing (STP) rates and increase the level of control in existing processes through Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Lead Analyst
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Responsible for the processing of complex transactions on a daily basis
2) Responsible for monitoring the performance of the process
3) Responsible for assisting analysts on a daily basis
4) Responsible for tracking and improving daily performance metrics
5) Focus on stabilizing the process and meeting customer expectations and SLAs
6) Provide performance feedback to analysts
7) Mentor team in a highly demanding and stressful environment and assist new hires
CRITICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
1) Solid understanding of Operational Risk concepts within a bank - especially the aspects associated with
Control
2) Good product & front to back process knowledge of settlements for Swaps/OTC Derivatives etc.
3) Strong overall communication skills and expected to be an escalation point for both internal clients (trading, sales, legal, ops etc) as well as external clients
4) Ability to drive, lead and inspire the team to hit targets and constantly question the efficiency and control of current process
5) Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into action plans
6) Strong analytical skills with an ability to problem-solve with a win-win negotiation approach
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
1) MBA/Graduate in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Commerce, Marketing is preferred
2) A minimum of 5-year related experience in a similar management role
3) Previous experience in a BPO or transaction processing business would be preferable, with experience in interaction with overseas clients or customers on the phone
4) Good communication and interpersonal skills
5) Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
6) Excellent written and spoken communication skills (CET-6 above / JLPT-1 / Cantonese)
7) Willing to work in shifts to cover APAC area
