Everyday around 7pm, there are love songs requested at XXXFM around XXX area. XXX's soft and thick voice talked with callers tenderly and led them to describe the moving story that they are willing to share, usually they are THE stories of their lives, and then it is the song after song of describing mostly one thing — love.I have been so moved time and time again before. Just give out a story on the program several days ago — a 31 year old man called and said:" I want to request a song for Susie … who gave me away 31 years ago to my mother worked nearby. I could not find her, my birth mother, and I want to tell my brothers or sisters that might be out there and my mother, that I wish them all the best, and I want to tell them, for 31 years, I have been tried my best, and I have a little daughter. And then the music began, it is "Hello" by Lionel Richie. I was very moved.
These days, I thought a little bit about the way people, we modern people express love. The above caller who has no clue who his birth mother is has to express love this way. But how do we express love? Can love be expressed by lyrics in songs? Yes, in a certain way, for five minutes. If it is that simple, then there would be many fewer broken homes, broken dreams.
I remember I know an old Chinese lady, her husband died when she was very young, she took care of multiple children by herself, took care of her children's children, never married. Whenever she went back to the tomb of her husband buried in rural China, she would burn some paper money, and tears pouring out like light rain.
