1)Without reading its s-1, you will be shooting in the dark. Is its ipo on big board? American stock exchanges? Nasdaq? otcbb?
2)The best way to invest in an ipo is to buy shares at the offering price before the stock starts trading if this ipo is considered the hot one underwritten by a syndicate full of big names such as ML, JPM, WIT, or Salomon Smith Barney. However, such allocation of hot ipo is only available to the best customers of those big name firms. I don't know about you, but I have never got such ipo in my 20 year investment life.
