it seems to be a consensus that among three bigger texas cities:D-W,houston, what people don't realize is
houston is very metropolitan compare to dallas and fort worth and the cultural atmasphere is very diversified. great art collection between three art museums, bunch of museums, orchestra, ballet, opera house...
the neighbours on my block only myself and my next doors are not in oil biz, the other 10 house households are oil related by profession. what that does for us is the cultural diversity. many are from britain and norway on rotary program...less "americans" than others, not to mention only a few texans...
besides oil based, best medical services in the world and gathered bunch of medical research people and NASA associated pro.s....
many pro. in middle class
dallas on the other hand, is more industrial and regional distribution center for different trades.
fort worth, among the three, perhaps has the highest concentration of money, but you won't be able to tell:
the guy sat next to you at a resturant in old blue jeans and worn out sneakers may be a total net worth of 100 mil dollars
while the bmw7501 in houston may belong to someone does not even have a big house!
if you add austin, san antonio...then you know texas is all different, even the accidents are different!
life style actually diverse too
