1. I have worked extensively with head hunters in China, and I know the policies of large US companies and the charging fees of headhunters. Although a position like this is likely to inccur exceptions in fees, my estimate is anywhere around half a year of income of this position. A very simple question to ask is, if Google presents 130 million to Li, Li would happily take the position without any help from the head hunter. In other words, the whole value of Li is not worth that much, then will Google pay that much to a head hunter?
In the State of Washington, non-competitive employement contract may not be effective in the court -- it all depends on the specific terms of the contract (its conditions and consequencies etc) and the specific position and tasks that the employee switch to in a competitor company. There have been many cases in this regard and legal advice is easily available -- Li and Google cannot be possibly that stupid.
In a world, this is just some simple hype from those who entertain themselves in writing fictitious stories.
