Essential: Team leading experience, leading an IT team in delivering services to clients. Experience of leading a team in a busy environment and the proven ability to coach and develop senior staff.Deep technical and functional knowledge across one or more of the following IT domains: - Network Management (LAN and ideally WAN management); - Data Centre Management and Hosting; - Delivery of desk-side technical support (‘workstation support’) - Managing a Voice PBXExperience of managing third party technology suppliers, such as telecoms companies.Proven ability to work with customers to define requirements, develop solutions and implement those solutions on time and to budget.Experience of managing senior customer relationships and building relationships with customer groups and business leadership. Must have sufficient maturity to be able to generate respect.Experience of working in a structured IT environment with strong processes controls. In particular, experience of working within a Change Control process is desired.Excellent English Language spoken and written communication and good documentation skills.Ability to communicate to staff in all of the supported locations in Chinese.Evidence of drive and the will to succeed.‘Can do’ attitude.
Desirable: Experience of operating a multi-client environment (i.e., where multiple clients / customers with different IT requirements are supported by the IT Team.).Experience of recruiting IT personnel and building a team of IT professionals will be a strong advantage.Experience of setting up a new office location from an IT perspective (LAN, WAN, server room, configuring all devices etc.).
Joining Date of Candidate:The individual to join by 1st September at the latest, and can join at any stage before then.
The role is to lead the IT organisation in China that supports Delivery Centre operations in Dalian, Shanghai and Guangzhou. In total these locations will be expanding and will have 1,000 – 1,500 customers to support within the next year.Key aspects of the role include:§ Leading the IT organisation in China which supports the Delivery Centres. This includes a team of 20-25 people at present and the local IT Leads in each Centre would report into this role.§ Building the China IT organisation through recruiting the necessary people and skills into the organisation. As China business continues to expand the IT team will also continue to expand.§ Mentoring and coaching the IT Leads in the supported location which will report into this role.§ Ensuring successful delivery of IT support services and project related activities in the facility, to all clients in each facility. IT services include the management of all services for the operation of the facility (networks, servers, server room, change control, support teams, procurement and asset management).§ Delivering project related activities including the design and implementation of IT solutions for clients, and ensuring the project to enable new offices for expansion are delivered on time and to budget.§ Reporting on team and service performance to management.§ Meeting the globally specified service levels required from IT support in support of the Delivery Centres.§ Ensuring the IT organisation remains flexible and able to rapidly respond to client requirements.§ Ensuring client satisfaction remains high for all services delivered by the IT organisation.§ Ensuring the people in the China IT organisation remain motivated and challenged.§ This role reports to the Global IT Lead for Accenture’s offshore businesses.
