Position： Quality Manager
Main Responsibilities
• Manages the product quality department of the local industrial organization in a manner which assures a professional reaction to customer complaints; manufacturing quality; product quality assurance; supplier quality
• Accountable for the release process of produced batches (release or block production batches ba<x>sed on process data and product performance measurements, escalate production batch quality issues to QM GBU and Operations Manager)
Monitors and reviews the product and process performance and initiates improvements projects.
• Support the decision making process and clearly communicate quality ob<x>jectives and customer requirements to production personnel to maximize product reliability /quality
• Manage the complaint handling process including internal containment action and batch recall: Assure sufficient failure-, root cause analyses and on time delivery of complaint reports.
Requires and follow up corrective action plan and check the efficiency of implemented counter measures and close the complaint within the local Management Team
• Set-up and direct the Quality Lab and the activities for testing and validation
• Support Product Management in the product change release process towards customers
• Implementation and continuous improvement of total quality management system according internal, customer requirements and requirements of ISO TS 16949 (accountable for the QM System certification TS 16949 of the industrial organization)
• Accountable for the implementation and up-to-date status of Control Plan, Process FMEA, Critical Process Parameter sheet and quality related procedures (in strong alignment with mother factory).
• Regular quality reporting covering the defined Industrial Quality Metrics and the data generated by Quality Lab
• Prepare organization for customer audits
• Direct the Quality Engineers (responsible for supplier quality) and escalate component quality issues to QM GBU and related Supplier Quality Manager of Sector Lighting
• Setting up a “Zero Defect” mindset and way of working in the complete organization.
• Ensures a strong alignment of the local quality organization with the “mother factory” in Europe: use of same procedures, sharing of quality data, agreement of needed support, alignment of communication to customers, alignment/release of changes.
• Responsible for supervision, recruitment, training and evaluation of quality personnel, and implementation of quality tools
• Manages quality staff to maximize motivation and involvement and minimize fluctuation.
• Management Team member of local industrial organization
Job/Personal Requirements：
• Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or similar
• Know how in manufacturing and quality management
Experiences of at least 3 years of experience in a similar function in a technical/ industrial environment.
• Good communication skills (speaks, reads and writes English)
• Detailed knowledge in quality management tools (like SPC, FMEA, MEDIC/PDCA, DOE, 8D-reports, FTA etc.)
• Knowledge in statistics and related tooling (Minitab)
• Experiences in external quality certification and customer audits
• Technical education and experiences in bulb design/development and quality measurement equipment preferable.
• Experiences in Automotive environment preferable
insights in customer requirements, customer complaint handling and “zero defect requirements and approaches”
• Is accurate and delivers quality results ba<x>sed on a strong Quality-mind-set
• Can work well in teams, good co-operation with others. Good leadership skills.
• Capable to operate and communicate on different levels in the organization.
• Is flexible in availability and mobility to travel in China (to customers) and to Europe (Germany) for training and quality meetings.
