1. It is not only Chinese who does it, but also most of the major economies in the world. Not sure why your are pointing your finger to China only, and that specifically.
2. Ok, finally u r talking about risk. Let's say there are various risks out there. Recourse, non-recourse, whatsoever, they will all have a price accordingly, right? Can i say, by having a recourse loan, rationally speaking we should get a loan cheaper than those non-recourse ones, all others held equal?
3. Social loss... Hmm, i guess you are making a good joke here. Having people borrowing money with less or sometimes no constraints at all, you have already seen what would happen there in the States...
Statistically speaking, there is much less default in a recoursable system compared with a non-recoursable one. That said, which one might make us lose more, collectively? Ur call.
I meant, that is the irrationally irresponsible system put up by the US, which none of the other major economy is implementing. I am not sure about CA but at least as I said, UK is not, Nor is AU, Jp neither and of course not the case for HK either..
---------------------------------------------------
Ur biggest mistake, in my opinion, is worrying too much about post bankruptcy rather than focusing on how to be more responsible at the first place, on how to be a rational and disciplined borrower, to avoid borrowing too much when you r not at the position to pay it back.
Yes, i do agree with you that, on the assumption that you r broke, US is much better a place to be. However, why don't we try a complete different way of thinking? Why not just behave yourself, think before you take the loan and conduct yourself in a much better manners. As long as u can not assume that, it is not the case that non is better.
If you insist that, we should be looking at the world from the angle of "Bankruptcy to be tomorrow", then i have no more to say.
Mind you, from an expected return perspective, Non is much worse too. If you know what i am talking about...
