bond market, you may want to pick up GE bond or Barclay aggregate which is an index of major corporate bonds. (Used to be called Lehman aggregate. u know what happened. )
CDS is “unfunded” (zero NPV transaction), but as an individual investor, u may will be required a margin deposit .
