KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / CHALLENGES:
• CFC’s customers are mainly State Owned Enterprises covering five areas:
• Diversified industries, including consumer goods, healthcare, industrials and Asian conglomerates);
• TMT (telecoms, media, technology and electronics);
• Transporation and infrastructure (shipping, airlines, logistics, construction, power and utilities, infrastructure projects);
• Public sector (government conglomerates, public sector agencies, service provider); and
• Retail (global retailers, retail suppliers and manufacturers)
• Act as GAM to:
• Market and sell traditional corporate banking products including cash, trade, hedging and corporate lending;
• Cross sell investment banking products including syndicated loan, high yield bond/debt,
• project and export credit financing, M&A advisory, pre-IPO financing, leverage buy out,
• acquisition financing
• Build the customer base;
• Working with the Regional Account Manager (RAM) and Field Account Manager (FAM) to market and serve customers’ overseas subsidiaries.
• Leading (i) the preparation of Global Mandate and annual business credit application with the assistance of credit analyst; (ii) the credit approval process in interacting with senior credit management
• Provide coaching support to relationship managers, assistant relationship manager and sales supports
• Up-tiering the relationship to senior management level
SELECTION CRITERIA:
• Relevant commercial and/or investment banking experience and be familiar with traditional corporate and investment banking products
• Preferably experience in working for a foreign bank
• Experience in dealing with SOEs, conglomerates and large corporates
• Credit experience in preparing business credit applications and processing credit approvals
• Native mandarin speaker
• Good communication and writing skill in English
• Team player
• Solid academic background, with relevant training in business/finance /accounting. Preferably with a Master’s Degree; MBA is a plus.
