I kind of understand Garlic Head now ... before I didn't, and had its consequences.
But staying in U.S. for extra years has its benefit,
at the time we first seperated, my son hadn't been in kindergarten yet, that means no full time school yet, not much real English communication. We spoke Chinese at home.
I have known a good kid who attends top internatonal school in Beijing, I think at the time his spoken English was at my son's current level, and he was almost 4 years older.
You know how people grasp a language, mainly during years prior to adolescent, smaller and bigger enviornment is so important. I wish my kids
can become native speaker even though they later spend years in China
while growing up.
That is the only reason I am dragging behind.
But I am going back pretty soon.
