The higher price of the crude trigger off rising cost of petroleum production. XOM suffers from that. We may face a rise in the gas price when the colder winter comes up in the meanwhile OPEC does not intend to increase production. Heating oil will take up more refining capacity of the refiners. Currently, the refiners run nearly 90% capacity, under which we may not expect a substantial rise in the gas production when climate turns cold, although the recent increase of stockpile seems good news for the winter.
