Graphic Support Specialist – Outline
Assume a lead role in the direction of the tools, resources and technology used for the development of creative presentations, proposals, documents, Internet/Intranet sites and graphics for clients.
Conceptualize and execute designs for presentations and proposals. Lead creative sessions with staff to determine design requirements. Develop creative concepts and create and design artwork PowerPoint and other software tools. Create thumbnail sketches, comprehensive layouts and storyboards for overheads, and presentations as required by leadership.
Maintain the regional repository of data in the e-rooms for presentations and sales support.
Specifics
Provide Thought Leadership - Use knowledge and leverage industry best practices to provide innovative thought leadership on the approach and strategy for the design, development and delivery of proposals and documents.
Design Sales Collateral - Conceptualize and execute designs for generic and customized sales collateral. Ensure collateral contains compelling content to illustrate service offerings, features and benefits. Use state of the art graphics to illustrate the pursuit win-theme and value proposition as defined by sales executives.
Design Presentations - Design presentations for peers, leaders and clients and provide requirements to graphic artist. Provide compelling content and input on document layout and structure. Ensure presentations contain pursuit win-theme and value proposition as defined by sales executive. Incorporate state of the art graphics and animation to deliver sales message.
Deliver on Commitments - Accept responsibility for pursuit or proposal activities. Accept responsibility for achieving stated commitments by holding others and team members accountable. Demonstrate effective follow through and meet measurable objectives according to schedule. Set realistic schedules, assignments, goals and objectives. Meet deadlines and follow through on each commitment within a project.
Think Creatively - Produce ideas and designs through creative thinking. Create metaphors or themes for designs. Develop creative imagery or products.
Apply Visual Design Concepts - Create composition and layout for graphics. Use aesthetic sensibility and information visualization to create designs. Incorporate EDS identify/branding standards. Use layout and information architecture knowledge to organize material and create designs. Use knowledge of color, typography, form and hierarchy to create designs.
Share & Communicate Info - Organize and effectively convey thoughts and ideas in a variety of communication settings (written, oral, graphical) to achieve desired results. Use established communication venues such as status meetings, kick off meetings, group meetings, project debrief sessions, issue and solution setting sessions, email, one-on-one discussions, etc. Use a variety of tools, methods and techniques to communicate with a global virtual team. Produce clear, crisp and direct communications to eliminate miscommunications. Use communication skills to elicit timely responses and action. Ask questions to gain knowledge and use reflective listening to clearly understand the other person's point.
Use Technology in Proposals - Use state of the art technology, graphics and animation in the design, development and delivery of proposals.
Use Knowledge Management Tools & Resources - Leverage Knowledge Management tools and resources to connect people to things via web portals, search engines, and repositories that direct, search and store knowledge.
Share Knowledge & Tools - Share knowledge, talent, expertise and problem-solving abilities with others. Provide tools, knowledge and resources to others proactively.
